Welcome to Spring Soccer! Registered players should have received an email with your child's team assignment. Contact the league if you do not receive it by Monday, March 31.
The Blog
The Blog will be the primary source for information, schedules, directions etc. Please use it and let us know what we can do to improve any aspect of U6 Soccer.

Cancellations due to weather will be posted to the blog... please check it within an hour of the start time on game-day morning. If you do not have access to the internet on Sunday mornings please let me know.
What you’ll need
Parents will need to supply:
- If you already have the correct uniform, please use it. If not, the league will supply a shirt, shorts and socks on the first day
- Sneakers or cleats
- Shin pads
- A size 3 ball with the players name on it
- Long pants and long sleeved shirt worn under the team shirt if the weather requires it
- Water - for frequent breaks
The Schedule
The season begins on Saturday, April 5 and runs through June 7. There is no soccer on May 24 due to Memorial Day.
There will be 2 sessions each Saturday morning:
- The early session will include 4 games (8 teams). It will be 8:30 to 9:55.
- The later session will include 2 games (4 teams). It will be 10:00 to 11:30.
Our Philosophy
At the U6 level it's very much about having the kids run around, getting used to kicking the ball and playing with teammates. Most of all, of course, is letting the kids have fun while introducing them to soccer.
We try to keep all the players active, minimizing standing around time. However, during the game we do make use of substitutes in order to keep the teams small which allows everyone to get some time on the ball.
We do not stop play for penalties or when the ball goes out of bounds, unless there is a danger of collision. Please help by kicking the ball back into play if it leaves the field.
We do not keep score or celebrate winning. We strive to give everyone an opportunity to play, regardless of skill level.
Basic Rules for Parents
- At least one adult supervisor must stay during the entire session and is responsible for watching kids if they wander away from play
- Parent involvement is appreciated and encouraged when appropriate but please try not to interfere with the session
- Due to insurance rules players who are not registered with the league cannot play
- Players must not wear jewelry such as earrings, watches, necklaces, etc.
The Amerige Field
All games will be held at the Amerige field in Malden at Highland & Savin streets.
There is very limited parking at Amerige. Do not park within 50 feet of the crosswalk at Clifton and Highland Ave. Do not park within 50 feet of any corner. Do not park in the marked bus stop. The busses haven't had enough room to navigate; the police will ticket and tow.

We will use this configuration for game day. The team placements are the first day only. The location and times change each week. Please note the different configuration for the early and late sessions.
